Photography started for me in 2010 when I borrowed my Mums point and shoot camera and photographed my friends jumping our homemade BMX dirt jumps.

What began as a way to document tricks quickly transitioned into an obsession with lighting, how it falls and how to shape it to transform a subject.

I went on to study photography at Nottingham Trent, graduating in 2019 with the joint highest mark in my year and winning the Genesis Imaging and Djanogly Art Gallery Bursary Award.

From there I spent five years in Manchester shooting full time for the home appliance brand Russell Hobbs. This role was where I took my studio lighting skillset to a new level, shooting technically demanding chrome and high gloss products every day. Everyones a photographer until they’ve shot an all chrome kettle front on at a 35mm focal length.

After that I moved into a full time role as lead photographer for Manchester based agency Capture Creative where I led campaigns for the streetwear brands 11 degrees, Altryn and ATSG among others and established the in house studio from the ground up.

Since leaving the agency I’ve been living and working in Manchester as a full time freelance photographer, working with clients across commercial, brand and lifestyle projects.

Alongside my freelance projects, I also head up Teal Studios, a Manchester product photography agency.
