Photography started for me in 2010, documenting Bmx with my Mums point and shoot camera.
What began as a way to document tricks quickly became an obsession with lighting, how it falls and how to shape it to transform a subject.
I went on to study photography at Nottingham Trent, graduating in 2019 with the joint highest mark in my year and winning the Genesis Imaging and Djanogly Art Gallery Bursary Award.
From there I spent five years in Manchester shooting for Russell Hobbs, where shooting chrome and high gloss products every day taught me more about lighting precision than anything else could.
After that I moved into a full time role as lead photographer for Manchester based agency Capture Creative where I led campaigns for the streetwear brands 11 degrees, Altryn and ATSG among others and established the in house studio from the ground up.
Since leaving the agency I’ve been living and working in Manchester as a full time freelancer, working with brands and ecommerce clients that care as much about the details as I do.
Alongside my freelance projects, I also head up Teal Studios, a Manchester product photography agency.
